Free Access to Rally Reader for All Public School Students in New Mexico

Big news for New Mexico families: Rally Reader is now available at absolutely no cost to every K–12 student enrolled in a New Mexico public school, including charter schools.
Thanks to a new partnership with the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED), students across the state have free, year-long access to one of the most powerful literacy tools available, starting May 2026, for a full year.
What Does Free Actually Mean?
It means the full Rally Reader experience, including:
- Access to our digital library of 50,000+ popular books from top publishers, including Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Disney, and HarperCollins. From picture books to chapter books to young adult titles, there is something for every reader at every level.
- A personal digital literacy coach that listens as your child reads aloud, gently steps in when a word gets tricky, and celebrates every win along the way. It's patient, encouraging, and always available.
- An individual progress dashboard, to help students, families, and teachers track and understand reading growth. This data-rich snapshot shows persistence, milestones reached, words mastered, and areas where a little extra support might help.
Who Is Eligible?
The program is open to any student in grades K–12 currently enrolled in a New Mexico public school, including charter schools. Parents can create a single account and enroll up to five children, making it easy for the whole family to get reading.
Once enrolled, students can download the Rally Reader app on any iOS or Android device and start reading right away. Books are available to download, which means reading can happen anytime and anywhere, with or without WiFi.
