Rally Reader Cookie Policy

Last updated 09/30/2026

This policy explains how Rally Reader, Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites. It covers rallyreader.com and our program websites.

It does not cover the Rally Reader application. How the application handles information is described in our Services Privacy Policy, our Children’s Privacy Policy and — for Canada — our Canadian Privacy Statement.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between pages or between visits — that you are signed in, for example, or which language you chose.

We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels. This policy covers those too.

Necessary cookies: Keeps the site working — page navigation, access to secure areas, remembering your cookie choices and cannot be turned off. The site does not work without these.

Preferences cookies: Remembers settings such as your language or region and can be turned off.

Statistics cookies: Tells us which pages are visited and how the site performs, so we can improve it and can be turned off.

Marketing cookies: Used to measure and target our own advertising — for example, so we can tell whether someone who saw an advertisement later visited our site and can be turned off.

Everything except Necessary is off until you turn it on.

Statistics cookies come from Google Analytics. Google’s own privacy policy describes how it handles the information it receives.

These are our websites, not the Rally Reader app

This policy covers rallyreader.com and our program websites, which are addressed to adults — parents, guardians, educators and school administrators.

The Rally Reader application uses no cookies at all. Nothing on this page applies to it. We do not use a student’s personal information for advertising or marketing, and we do not allow advertisers or data brokers to collect information about a student’s use of the Service. How the application handles information is described in our Services Privacy Policy, our Children’s Privacy Policy and, for Canada, our Canadian Privacy Statement.

Children

Our websites are addressed to adults — parents, guardians, educators and school administrators.

The Rally Reader application, which children use, is covered by the Children’s Privacy Policy, not by this page. We do not use cookies to track a child’s use of the application, and we do not use anything collected on our websites to target or profile a child.

Your choices

On our site. When you first visit, we show a cookie banner, managed by Cookiebot. You can Deny, Allow selection or Allow all, and you can turn each category on or off individually. Necessary cookies are set regardless, because the site does not work without them.

You can change your answer at any time, using the Cookiebot control on our site. Cookiebot also publishes a declaration listing every cookie we use, with its provider, purpose and how long it lasts.

In your browser. Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site working.

  • Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each provide cookie controls in their settings or preferences.

Global Privacy Control. Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control signal, which is an automatic instruction not to sell or share your personal information. Our sites honor it. Where we receive that signal, we apply it as an opt-out without your needing to do anything else.

Do Not Track. Browsers also send an older “Do Not Track” signal, which has no agreed meaning across the industry and which we do not act on. Global Privacy Control, above, is the one with a defined meaning.

Where this information goes

Analytics information collected on our websites is processed by Google Analytics. We also use Sentry to catch and report errors on our websites. Marketing cookies, if you turn them on, are set by the advertising partners named in the Cookiebot declaration. Information collected from visitors in Canada is handled in accordance with our Canadian Privacy Statement.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change is material, we will say so on the site.
